After attending the very first Grey County Young Professionals Network at Heartwood Hall in March 2018, I had a feeling it was going to be a successful series. They brought 150 young people together to socialize, mingle, network or whatever infinitive verb you want to use here. Let’s just say it was a huge success.
And since that inaugural meeting of the young minds, the County of Grey has hosted events at Coffin Ridge Winery, Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Thornbury Village Cidery, and now Ground Effects in Hanover. Despite the rainy weather (which actually was the cause of my soccer cancellation that allowed me to attend), the spirits were high inside the beautiful special events centre that sits on 50 acres of landscaped property belonging to the landscape company by the same name.
The stone courtyard leads into the bar and reception area where all the young professionals gathered on this particular occasion. The Maclean’s Ales brewskies were served beside the massive charcuterie board in front of the wood burning fireplace. There was no fire burning last night, but the place was alight with chatter and youthful ambition. Oh, and the sweet sounds of Jaret Koop on guitar emanated through the building for three hours, which was pretty sweet.
Between chatting with magazine publishers, yoga instructors, and interior designers, Rrampt was able to snap a few pics of the action.
