The Cinderella Campaign: First Canadian Army and The Battle for Channel Ports

During the final stages of the Second World War, they were known as the “Cinderella Army”. The First Canadian Army had been relegated to the left flank of the Allied advance toward Germany from Normandy and given the thankless task of opening the Channel ports from Le Havre to Ostend in Belgium.
