Join us for the final studio show of 2024! The incredible Lydia Persaud will perform along with guitarist, Christine Bougie.
A fixture of Toronto’s music community and a sought-after vocalist, Lydia Persaud’s voice combines Jazz, R&B and Folk to create soul music in its most literal sense. Her latest album “Moody31” comes described by its producer Scott McCannell as, ”Roberta Flack sitting in with Bill Withers’ band at a folk festival”.
Lydia’s colourful decade as a collaborator has featured many projects including: folk trio The O’Pears (2011-2019), rock tribute group Dwanye Gretzky (2017-present), Pop Storytelling in The Queer Songbook Orchestra (2019-present) and Gay/Country anthems with Shania Twink (2021-present). Her career has led to opening slots for Jann Arden, Martha Wainwright and a US opening tour for STARS.
