These Eyes at Grey Gallery

This exhibition by artist Cindy Norton includes a series of expressionist paintings which emphasize the gaze of her subjects. Through the gaze, she seeks to invite the viewer to look past the presented facade. 

Cindy’s interests in Expressionism, Surrealism/Realism, as well as Social Theory inform her process, creating “scenes” with a strange tension between reality and fantasy. As with her previous work, engaging the viewer is the most important element.appreciate and enjoy art.
