Thresher is a local Owen Sound band, fusing elements of kosmische music, free jazz, and post-rock to offer a bad trip wrapped in a security blanket. Their sound pushes you to the brink like a disastrous meditation, cacophonous saxophone, noise-rock-inspired guitar, and tape loops, ensure Thresher offers a unique take on improvised music.
Mount Mural – forming from the indie-circa-1990, bedroom demos of guitarist Clayton McMillan, the 4-piece shoegaze act from Barrie, ON came together to form Mount Mural in early 2018. Residing somewhere between the haziness of early DIIV and the hypnotic guitar lines of midwest emo, the band has created a sound in a long line of the crescendo-building Canadian post-rock bands.
Trash Gordon represents the most eclectic of the PPP DJs – his style fuses everything from Frank Sinatra with heavy electro-swing or MOP dropping on drum and bass lines, old skool hip hop and everything between. His sound is best described as a high powered sonic mutant, guaranteed to get you moving!
This is an all ages event from 8-11 and after is 19+ at the discretion of the owner.
